Like many Millenials and perhaps other generations in 2019, I bought a subscription to Disney Plus. The reason why I downloaded Disney plus is that I like many other of my fellow millennials, I miss my childhood and wanted to bathe in that nostalgia of Disney in the ’90s and 2000s. When I was a kid in the late ’90s and 2000’s I watched Disney Channel religiously and I remember being obsessed with Lizzie McGuire. I remember watching the Disney Channel Original Movie Brink (1998) as a child and recently I watched it again on Disney Plus and I have to say it hit me differently as an adult. The one thing that I got out from watching Brink was that “You are not your job but You are the company you keep and how you keep it.”

So to give a little bit of a background about the Disney Channel Original movie Brink it’s about a boy named Andy (Brink) played by Erik Von Hatten who is a part of a skate team called The Soul Skaters which meant skating for the soul of skating and not for the money. Unlike The Soul Skaters, another skating team named Team X-blades skated for competition, fame, money, and glory as was depicted in the movie. When his family is in financial trouble he wants to help support his family and when he learns about the money that Team X-blades are making it prompts him to join Team X-blades willing to put away the message of the soul…
